Preparing Your Boxes
- Identify the bottom of the box.
- Fold the two smaller flaps
- Fold the two larger flaps
- Seal with packing tape. Put a strip along the joint
and at least six inches up the sides.
Do not interlock the flaps, as this will weaken
the box.
Clearly Label each box with the items inside and the
room it is going into in your new home.
The heavier the item the smaller the box it should
be packed in.
- Small Boxes should be used for heavy items
such as tinned food, books, cds, dvds and delicate
china etc.
- Medium Boxes should be used for breakables,
crockery, ornaments, kitchen utensils,
lamp shades etc.
- Large Boxes should be used for lighter items such
as toys, linen, shoes, soft goods, clothing etc.
